Given that they were $US3.5bn ahead of 2nd place PwC, I doubt that they will lose Number 1 spot in the US.
Deloitte lost the most clients in the U.S. due to subprime mortgage among the big four. They laid off a lot of people this year. I doubt they will be #1 or even #2 for 2008 for revenue.

Unfortunantly its not the case in Australia. In terms of market share in audit Deloitte own about 4% of the top 200 firms market, whereas KPMg have the largest share of 26%. Deloitte are smaller in Australia which is a shame as all I hear about Deloitte is good things
Deloitte’s the biggest in both Canada and the US. In fact, in most countries Deloitte and PwC are either 1st or 2nd. KPMG and EY tend to play second fiddle to them.
I had the choice to go deloitte or Kpmg but i chose KPMG. Im from Sydney though and Deloitte’s the smallest of the big 4 in Australia. Apparently Deloitte’s killing it in the US though. Nice rap btw

There is none, just like all Big 4 firms. You are busy year round. I work for UHY and do nothing for like 4 months of the year. Busy season I work no more than 55 hours and travel 2 weeks out of the year. I also know how to do more than cash recon’s.
