How does receiving payments through paypal work?
March 9th, 2010
Hi. I am new to paypal and i was wondering if someone wanted to send me a payment through paypal would I have to do anything, like upgrading my paypal account or paying a percentage of the price etc. Also is paypal total secure? If I gave someone the necessary information to send me money, could he do anything with that except for sending me money? Thanks for your replies!!!

Yes & yes.
Your Personal PayPal account would have to be upgraded to a Premier account and you would pay 30 cents and 2.9% of the total (bid or price and s/h) on each transaction.

PayPal is as secure as you make it. Keep your Password secure and don’t make it from any word in the Dictionary or your pet’s name. Also, be familiar with scams. Here’s a very good eBay Tutorial on spoof/hoax emails and websites.
